FAQs

What should I wear?

Our studio is heated so please wear something comfortable and clean; leggings, shorts, vest, t-shirt.  Please arrive ready for practise and wear your face covering in Slotline House until you arrive at the studio.

What should I bring?

You must bring your own yoga mat with you and any props you like to use, we suggest blocks, a yoga belt, water and a towel.

What if I have an injury or am pregnant?

Please advise your instructor of any injuries you are working with so modifications can be offered.  Hot Yoga is not recommended during pregnancy.

I’m not very flexible, can I still come to yoga?

Of course!  You don’t have to be flexible to do yoga, yoga is a great way to get to know your body better and can improve strength and flexibility.  Our classes are designed to cater to all levels of flexibility and experience.

What is the benefit of Hot Yoga?

Hot yoga has many benefits, practising in the heat warms the muscles which can help improve flexibility and elasticity of the muscles.  The heat allows the body to stretch deeper in a safe way so you can track the progression in your practise.  Sweating during our practise helps eliminate toxins and can burn more calories as the body is working harder in the heat.  Our studio tends to be at a temperature of 30-34 degrees and varies as windows must be open to allow for ventilation so the room is hot but not unbearable.

How do online classes work?

We are continuing to offer online classes which are run using Zoom.  Please book through our booking system at least an hour before the class starts– classes are clearly marked STUDIO or ONLINE.  The link will be sent 30-45 minutes before class, check your junk mail if you don’t see the link in your inbox.  If you are new to practising with us, please drop us an email for a quick chat about injuries and any queries you might have.
